Singapore Airlines Business Class (Boeing 777-200)

Singapore Airlines is popularly known for its amazing business class and first class cabins. Being the first operator of the super jumbo Airbus A-380, they were aggressive with their campaigns; promoting their new business class seats as being the "most spacious the world has ever seen". Through pictures, the cabins do look very impressive and flying on their business class has been one of my top to-do things ever since.

Unfortunately, Singapore Airlines does not fly the A-380 from Christchurch to Singapore but instead, an aging Boeing 777-200. Nonetheless, I flew on their business class last month and although it wasn't as impressive as the cabins on the A-380, Singapore Airlines did meet my expectations and I honestly recommend flying with them. Here's some pictures anyway;

The Koru Lounge is the business class lounge serving the Christchurch International Airport.  The interior was small but the lounge was very cosy and clean with a good selection of drinks. Food provided could've been better but in it all, it was a good lounge.

Though the business class cabin on the aging 777 was quite ordinary and narrow (in terms of seat width), what Singapore Airlines lacks, it makes up through excellent inflight entertainment, above-average food and hospitable service. With all these together, the 10 hour flight passed unnoticeably quick and before I knew it, I was in Singapore city.

Next post is on my 6D/5N trip to Singapore City.
